The Hundreds Brings Back Archived Prints to Celebrate 20 Years

The Los Angeles streetwear brand marks 20 with throwbacks.

The Hundreds rings in 20 years in business this year and has begun rolling out mini capsules of archived T-shirt designs to celebrate. 

The Los Angeles-based streetwear brand released the first collection of those designs—five prints retailing for $42 and sold exclusively through the company’s app and online store—this week. 

The designs include a swap meet-inspired airbrush print originally released in 2009, a take on the well-known U.S. Highway 101 mural called “L.A. Freeway Kids” by Glenna Avila and a three-headed dog graphic from 2008. 

“We often receive requests to bring back certain graphics, and while we rarely do, it’s our 20th anniversary, so why not,” the company told customers.  

Additional capsules with archived prints are set to be released this year, described by the company as “heavy hitters, deep cuts and some tees you never thought would see the day of light again.” 

The brand was started by Bobby Kim, also known as Bobby Hundreds, and Ben Shenassafar, who met while in law school, and have continued to steer the business through a constantly changing fashion landscape.

Kim, a multi-hyphenate also adept in drawing, photography and writing, in more recent years has continued to branch out into other disciplines. 

He reportedly recently signed with United Talent Agency as he looks to push into Hollywood via screenwriting and film among other things. 

Kim is set to see the release of his second book “NFTs Are a Scam” on May 16. His first book, “This is Not a T-Shirt: A Brand, a Culture, a Community—a Life in Streetwear,” debuted in 2019 and tells the story of Kim and The Hundreds.
