South Gate contemporary denim maker AG Jeans warned customers of slight shipping delays as it works on clothing donations for those impacted by fires continuing to burn in Los Angeles County.

The denim company said customers may see a short-term delay in shipments and deliveries of their orders as it directs some of its resources to shipping out clothing donations.

AG is offering men’s and women’s clothing for individuals impacted by the fire, which includes as many as three tops and three bottoms.

The company has also been compiling lists of organizations where people can volunteer and provide donations.

Industry companies have stepped up to lend their support where they can to those who lost their homes or who have been evacuated due to the fires.

Several brands and retailers have been donating sale proceeds to various organizations or, like AG, offering clothing. The growing list of local companies offering aid or fundraising includes Los Angeles Apparel, Obey Clothing, Clare V. and The Hundreds among many others.

Last week, multiple fires broke out in Los Angeles County exacerbated by the Santa Ana winds.

The largest of those active fires in the Pacific Palisades spans nearly 24,000 acres and was 17 percent contained as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. There’s also the Eaton Fire in the Altadena area, covering over 14,000 acres and now 35 percent contained, according to Cal Fire. Meanwhile, a fire in Sylmar covering about 800 acres is nearly contained at 97 percent.
