- Vogue World Hollywood Announcement: Anna Wintour and Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom confirmed that Vogue World 2025 will take place on Oct. 26 at Paramount Pictures, featuring models, actors, musicians and iconic film costumes.
- Star-Studded Event & Fundraising: The launch event in West Hollywood drew major fashion and entertainment figures, with proceeds supporting the Entertainment Community Fund for wildfire-affected industry workers.
- California’s Creative & Olympic Connection: The event highlights California’s creative economy and is seen as a lead-up to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, with LA28 chairman Casey Wasserman in attendance.
Anna Wintour touched down on West Hollywood to officially announce the next stop for the magazine’s Vogue World.
The Vogue editor-in-chief and Conde Nast chief content officer held court with California Gov. Gavin Newsom at the Chateau Marmont to confirm the next iteration of Vogue World will be held Oct. 26 at the Paramount Pictures lot.
The annual event, now in its fourth year, pools runway shows and other performances. Last year’s Vogue World in Paris aimed a spotlight on French fashion throughout the decades and paired it with several sports, including cycling, break dancing and fencing.
Wintour said the Hollywood event will feature “a huge cast of models and actors, dancers, musicians and surprises,” while adding it will “set great film costumes next to brilliant fashion collections.”
Admission into the event is pricey, with front row tickets in the past running about $3,000.
Wednesday’s event was packed with some of fashion and entertainment’s biggest names, including Nicolas Ghesquière, Jeremy Scott, Ruth E. Carter, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Adwoa Aboah, Cara Delevingne and Dree Hemingway.
Olympic Warm-Up
The Paramount venue marks the signature event’s return Stateside after launching in 2022 in New York before heading overseas to London and Paris for the most recent two iterations.
“We’re honored to welcome Vogue World Hollywood to the Golden State to help us spotlight California’s creative economy and the thousands of talented workers and businesses who support it,” Newsom said in a prepared statement.
The one-night event will raise money for the Entertainment Community Fund, which will funnel monies to industry individuals impacted by January’s wildfires.
Vogue World, to date, has raised $3 million in donations, according to Vogue.
For California, Vogue World could very well be a warm-up to the much larger 2028 Olympics, which will descend on Los Angeles and the broader Southern California region.
In fact, Casey Wasserman, who heads up his namesake talent and entertainment agency and is chair and president of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, was in attendance at Wednesday’s event.
LA28 is expected to bring 10,500 athletes and millions of visitors to the state, according to Visit California.
The 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be a major revenue generator for cities and businesses across the region. The games’ venues will span from downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach to Carson and Temecula.
